Greetings, and I hope this Postcard finds you well. I’m very happy here, at “the Edges” as the locals say. I think you’d love it here too! It’s so beautiful: The scenery and flowers, the food and music, the artworks and architecture, and of course the beautiful people – they are all so incredibly attractive! It’s all beautiful, in the Now of the Edges, where Then is always just around the corner.
I learned a lot here, in the Edges. Did you know that Information is physically something real, like matter or energy? They know about that in the Edges, how Information independently interacts with matter and energy, especially in living beings. They even have a mathematical formula for it, like acceleration = change in velocity, divided by the time interval: a = Δv/Δt. Do you remember Newton’s formula for acceleration from high school? In fact, the Information flow math is just about the same formula! Okay, it’s slightly more complicated. But it’s weird, because they’ve used it to create stuff like you and I have never seen, until Now.
Okay, the Edges, let me explain how I got here, as it’s complicated. It was a long and winding road to get to Now, in the Edges. It was rough and unpaved here and there, but it was just about the wildest ride you could imagine! You’ll have to give it a go, and take your best shot, as it were. Yeah, you’d like it here, everyone does. Let me tell you more, to get you excited enough to start thinking about it.
Well, first you have to check your Situation, make sure you are ready to travel to Now, let alone to the Edges of Creativity. To get to Now, you have to lose Fear. That’s it, that’s all. Just be like yourself as a child, when nothing was more important than learning: What was That? How did That happen?? Remember? How it was, to be only interested in Now? And you weren’t even trying!
You weren’t thinking about last minute’s dirty diaper, you were thinking right Now, about how great it is to be held so nice and close by Mom. You weren’t thinking about much else than That, for just right Then, when Then was Now. Okay, so try again to go to just Now, okay? All you have to do is lose Fear. Fear is uncertainty about the past or the future: We are always brave in moments of Now. Try to be brave enough to lose your Fear, so that you can be truly brave again, Now.
When you lose Fear, then you can see Now so much more clearly. It all just seems so clear, in Now. When you get to Now, write me a postcard too, okay?, and let me know how you find it to be, for you. See, we all have different Perspectives. They know all about that in the Edges. It turns out the Information-flow math is just another copy of what we already knew about everything else. Anyway, one of the things that long equation says is, “No One can have the Same Perspective as Anyone Else in the same Instant.” I think we already knew that too, but anyway, they’ve got proof in the Edges, and they’ve used it to make the place simply beautiful. You’d love it here! So, write me a postcard when you get to Now, okay? Your Perspective will be unique (the math says so), and uniquely beautiful too, so I can’t wait to see it!
Okay, after you get to Now, then you have to find the first Edge. It’s a bit harder, because you have so many choices to make! But, with each step, each choice, you’ll know you are on the right path. Your Decisions will get sharper with each step, and your confidence will grow. If you find yourself slipping back to Then, whether it’s a past or future Then, well then slip back for a while. It’s always okay to be prudent when you’re learning something new. You’re exploring, and the reward seems uncertain, until you get good and smooth, up to Speed as it were. So, you’ll get your bearings again, you’ll find Now much quicker the next time, and pretty soon, you’ll find the first Edge, the Bleeding Edge.
How will you know you are there, at the Bleeding Edge? Well, it’s easy, as everything really is in Now. Okay, I already said it’s beautiful here. I mean, I like Vanishing Edge of the Bleeding Edge much better, and you’ll see why too. But, the Bleeding Edge is nothing to pass by too quickly, without enjoying its own excitements and wonders. At the Bleeding Edge, you’ll find dozens of beautiful people who are interested in the very same things you love too, isn’t that just amazing? It’s weird, because your Bleeding Edge will have different people in it than mine, but it’s nonetheless the same Situation. Artists, musicians, if you like that sort of thing, or maybe flowers and software. Who knows? Well, you do, and so do they. And so, when you get to Now, look around for them. All you have to do is be creative. That’s right. Be creative. Create something new in Now, and it will be beautiful. And others who think so too will show up, when you get to the Bleeding Edge. They just show up. It’s pretty weird. They might even just sit right down next to you, at a club or one of the local’s amazingly fun parties.
It’s weird, but a couple of citizens in Vanishing Edge explained it to me this way: When you lose your Fear, standing in Now, you become Clear in your Perspectives. Things are easily decided Now, and so you make progress quickly. And then, you find something to contribute, and the people show up to Appreciate you and what you’ve done Now. When you lose your Fear, you lose your uncertainty. Your new You is Now a Beacon at the Bleeding Edge, creating the New in Now, and others can hear you Now, they can See you Now, because you are in the Clear. They will reward you too, just for giving them your Information, your Creativity and creations, and your unique spin on things. You’ll be rich, trust me! When you get to the Bleeding Edge, you’ll know, because all of a sudden, many amazing coincidences will cascade on top of each other, and your Clarity will be as clear as a crystal. These people and coincidences, they just start piling up all over the place, at just the right Now and Where, wherever your Bleeding Edge may be. You’ll know you’re there, when it seems miracles are happening all around you.
Vanishing Edge is even more beautiful!!
It’s a vacation compared to the Bleeding Edge, which I know you will have found so amazing. In Vanishing Edge though, things are simply finer. Balance is as graceful and inspiring as a spark flashing across the night sky to its pinnacle, its apogee. Art, music, and poetry sing to you as never before, in Vanishing Edge, where things always seem full as they should, and empty too, when that’s right too, right Now. Your thoughts hold in Now and create the most amazing things. That’s right, your thoughts. Your best dream ever becomes real, manifest, solid, and oh so fast. Sometimes your thoughts are faster than the speed of light itself, and create what you wanted even before you knew you needed it. That’s one thing they know about, in Vanishing Edge. You have to need it, to have Awareness of it, to get it in Vanishing Edge. There aren’t many rules, and the ones that work in Vanishing Edge are all based in simple math. That’s right, not an agreement, law, or contract. Just math, and just rules that work every time, because, well, it’s quantum physics. The math works each time you need it, become aware of it, and use it. It’s that simple, in Vanishing Edge. Your relationships perfect towards Openness, Honesty, Respect, Generosity, Commitment, and perfect Harmony. Everyone is nice to you, because you inspire them to smile, in Vanishing Edge. Know why? It’s because you’re finally Happy Now. Ecstatic, in fact. A real vacation. Where Then doesn’t matter so much, and Now is everything. And Love rules. Period, end of story.
